What is the initial process with families thru PVR?
Premier Volleyball Recruiting’s initial goal is to always educate families and take the much needed time to learn as much as possible about the student-athlete. That way when we start working together, we know exactly what types of colleges/universities to contact based off of her interests, level of play, academic major, location and much much more.
What are the steps when working with PVR?
1. Set an initial meeting: If possible, we meet in person usually at the student-athletes home. If you are located outside the state of MN, depending on your location (regionally speaking) we can still meet OR what usually works well is to do a phone conference with the student-athlete and her parent(s).
NOTE: A pre-meeting packet will be sent out to each family via mail so you have all the same information as I do (if we are unable to meet in person) when we do a phone consultation.
The meeting will consist of the following and much more:
- Extremely educational and informative
- Cover NCAA academic requirements
- Recruiting timelines, terms, phone calls, visits, NLI
- NCAA Clearinghouse
- Graduation Standard Rate (New per NCAA Rules)
- NCAA Recruiting Calendar
- Number of scholarships and types
- Red Shirt terminology
- What you can do
- What college coaches can and can’t do
- Much much more valuable information
- What PVR will do
- Very relaxed setting, no pressure
2. Learn about the Student-Athlete—Goal is VALUED CONTACTS
